Arista 7010X Series

The Arista 7010X Series addresses the server-edge tier of modern leaf-spine architectures, combining 48 copper Gigabit Ethernet ports with four high-speed SFP+ uplinks in a compact fixed-configuration form factor. Running on Arista EOS, the platform delivers 296 Gbps of total switching capacity and 220 Mpps forwarding throughput, with measured latency below three microseconds making it equally well suited as a top-of-rack access switch and as a dedicated out-of-band management plane device.

The series ships in four variants covering AC and DC power inputs and standard or rear-facing connector orientations (7010TX-48, 7010TX-48C, 7010TX-48-DC, 7010TX-48C-DC), all sharing a 4 MB fully shared packet buffer, a 64 K MAC address table, and hardware support for VXLAN overlay encapsulation and EVPN control-plane operation. A 0.3 W-per-Gbps power efficiency rating, hot-swappable fans, and selectable forward or reverse airflow allow the 7010X to slot cleanly into existing data centre thermal management practices.
