VeloCloud SD-WAN Edge 7x0 Series

The VeloCloud SD-WAN Edge 7x0 Series brings VeloCloud's software-defined WAN technology to enterprise branch deployments, combining SD-WAN with integrated Wi-Fi and 5G in compact physical form factors that mount on a desktop, wall, or 19-inch rack. Available models include the 710-5G, which delivers up to 950 Mbps throughput, supports up to 110,000 concurrent flows, and integrates a 5G cellular modem for wireless WAN diversity or primary connectivity at mobile sites where fixed-line broadband is unavailable or insufficient alone.

The 7x0 family covers the full branch deployment range, from a single-person satellite office served by a desktop unit to a regional branch facility using a rack-mounted configuration with multiple WAN links, within a single product line managed through VeloCloud Orchestrator. VM and VNF form factors extend the same SD-WAN software to cloud marketplaces and data center environments, allowing consistent SD-WAN policy across physical branches, virtual sites, and cloud regions without separate management systems.

VeloCloud's dynamic path selection continuously steers application traffic across available MPLS, broadband, and cellular links based on real-time quality measurements, prioritising latency-sensitive applications such as voice and video conferencing over paths that meet their SLA requirements while using all available links simultaneously for bulk traffic. This simultaneous multi-path utilisation improves aggregate bandwidth efficiency compared to active/standby WAN architectures where secondary links remain idle until a failure occurs.
