Arista 7020R4 Series

The Arista 7020R4 is a fixed-configuration 1RU leaf switch and switch-router built around dense 25GbE server-facing connectivity. Each model provides 48 SFP25 ports or 48 copper 10G RJ45 ports on the 48TX variant paired with four or eight QSFP100 uplink ports, yielding aggregate throughput that scales from 880 Gbps on the base copper model to 2 Tbps on the 48Y-8QC configuration. The platform supports a full routing feature set covering MPLS, Segment Routing with Traffic Engineering, and EVPN-VXLAN, positioning it for data center leaf tiers, service provider access, and network-edge roles simultaneously.

Six model variants including MACsec-capable M-suffix versions allow matching port density and uplink count precisely to deployment requirements, with 7020R4M variants adding wire-speed encryption to every SFP25 port. The AC power supply delivers 500 W at 93% Platinum efficiency across 100–240 V input, while the DC supply handles –48 to –60 V operation for exchange and carrier-grade environments. An operating range of 0–40°C with 5–90% relative humidity covers standard data centre and co-location deployments.
