In practice, MLO means that a Wi-Fi 7 laptop in a conference room receives data on whichever combination of 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz channels offers the lowest latency and highest available throughput at any given instant, with the C-400's radio stack handling the multi-link scheduling transparently to the application layer. The 6GHz radio's 5.76 Gbps peak data rate provides the throughput headroom that makes MLO's multi-band aggregation practically useful.
The 185×185mm chassis fits mounting positions that wider APs cannot occupy: suspended ceiling tiles with non-standard cut-out dimensions, below-desk installations in furniture-integrated mounting points, and surface-mount positions in low-ceiling rooms where a larger chassis would be visually obtrusive. The compact form factor does not reduce the antenna gain or radio count relative to the C-430; the 5 dBi integrated antennas are geometrically smaller to fit within the chassis dimensions, but the RF performance is comparable to same-MIMO-order APs with larger chassis at the operational distances for which the C-400 is designed.
