1RU 400G spine switch delivering 25.6 Tbps at 700 ns latency and 8 Bpps forwarding rate for cloud-scale and AI/ML fabric interconnects.
The Arista 7060X4 is a 1RU fixed switch delivering 25.6 Tbps of switching capacity across 32 OSFP or QSFP-DD 400G ports and two SFP+ management ports. Operating at 8 billion packets per second with a measured 700 ns forwarding latency at 400G, the platform targets cloud-scale spine tiers, machine learning cluster interconnects, and hyperscale AI infrastructure requiring dense 400G Ethernet at line rate. Two variants address different transceiver ecosystems: the 7060PX4-32 uses OSFP and the 7060DX4-32 uses QSFP-DD, with identical ASIC, throughput, and feature sets.
Each 400G port supports breakout to two 200G, four 100G, or four 50G sub-interfaces, providing compatibility with lower-speed servers, storage arrays, and access switches without additional hardware. Power draw is under 17 W per 400G port typical, with 1+1 redundant AC or DC power supplies the PWR-1611-AC-RED at 200–240V with 93% efficiency and the PWR-1611-DC-RED at –48 to –60VDC with 92% efficiency alongside N+1 redundant hot-swappable fans in a compact 1RU footprint.
Thirty-two 400G ports in a 1RU chassis reach 25.6 Tbps aggregate. Each port breaks out to two 200G, four 100G, or four 50G sub-interfaces, letting the 7060X4 connect to multiple tiers of differing speed without physical patch changes or additional switching hardware between tiers.
A 700 ns latency at 400G and 8 billion packets per second forwarding rate provide the deterministic performance that AI/ML collective communication patterns and high-frequency trading applications require. The low and consistent latency figure is maintained at full 25.6 Tbps load without any traffic shaping or queue prioritisation overhead.
The 7060PX4-32 (OSFP) and 7060DX4-32 (QSFP-DD) models allow matching the switch to the installed transceiver ecosystem in the facility without compromising throughput or feature support. Both models are field-deployable with the same EOS version, simplifying mixed-environment management.
At under 17 W typical per 400G port, the 7060X4 operates significantly below the power ceiling that would constrain deployment in space- or power-limited facilities. Ninety-three percent efficient AC power supplies and 92% efficient DC supplies further reduce the total site power draw for large-scale 400G deployments.
